MISSISSIPPI ASHRAE CHAPTER
President's Message

February 2010

We have yet another interesting technical session and lunch presentation this month.  I hope that each of you will plan to attend both.My congratulations to Chad Moore and our Research Promotion Committee as the Mississippi Chapter has reached approximately 90% of our goal. Our thanks to Steve Armour and Mississippi Power for their very generous donation of over $3,000.  Thanks Steve.

We will be planning our ASHRAE Learning Institute scheduled for the month of March.  Our topic will be Commissioning.  We will need help from the membership to pull this off.  We need atleast 10 volunteers to help with setting up catering, tables, IT, vendor displays and many other preparations that must be made.  There is too much work for 2 or 3 people to do.  If we do not get the necessary volunteers, we will not be able to pull of this beneficial event and will have no choice but to cancel.  This topic is extremely important and pertinent to our industry and this event is very important to our Chapter.  Please consider volunteering to help.  Please contact Chad Moore if you wish to volunteer.

Sincerely,

Drew Godfrey, P.E., LEEDŽAP
Chapter President

Current News

The ASHRAE Golf Tournament is right around the corner. It is time to start planning your teams and practicing up for the tournament. That may mean hitting some range balls or playing a round of golf. For some of us it means heading to the Crawdad Hole and practice up on eating some crawfish. Either way I know I am ready to practice for both. If anyone would like to start practicing please let me know and we can get a group together.
